They most certainly don't! So why is it that my "baby" left this morning for teen camp? How is it possible that she's old enough to go? Whah! My only comfort is that I sent her daddy with her; of course, he's there as a counselor but it makes this mama feel better!
So, they're off to Georgia to a camp hosted by Pastor Mark Stroud's church and I know that 1g13 will be in a great environment because not only does he run a conservative camp, but where the camp's standards leave off, our church's will pick up! Can I tell you how sincerely blessed I feel to be a part of a church that stands for something? A church that loves sinners and meets them where they are but encourages the saint to press forward in their walk with the Lord. Last night our pastor stomped all over my heart with a message to parents on how NOT to lose our children to the world.
I love our church....I am thankful for the youth there and the leadership over them. I do not ever have to worry that our beliefs and standards are being compromised when our children participate in youth events. Praise the Lord!
So, I thought I'd share with you a song or two from our youth choir. Be blessed.
